Missouri football lost some ground in the coaches poll after an opening day win.

The Tigers are now the third team outside of the top 25 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, down one spot from where they were placed in the preseason poll. Mizzou beat Central Arkansas 61-6 in its opener Thursday, Aug. 28 in Columbia.

The Tigers received considerably fewer votes after Week 1, dropping from 142 to 88 voting points from the preseason poll to Week 1. They were the second team outside of the top 25 in the preseason poll.

Missouri has finished back-to-back seasons with double-digit win totals and ranked among the top-25 in every major national poll and the College Football Playoff rankings.
