MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Several students tested positive for Hand, Foot, Mouth disease at Sherwood Elementary School, Memphis-Shelby County Schools said Tuesday morning.

MSCS says on August 27, they alerted parents of the confirmed cases via email, text, and call.

The school district is urging parents to notify the school administration if they suspect their child has HFMD.

According to MSCS, the symptoms they say to look out for are fever, mouth sores, and rash.
