MINNEAPOLIS — Six people who bought Powerball tickets in the greater Twin Cities were just given 50,000 reasons to push their lucky lotto streak.

Although no one won the more than $1 billion jackpot Monday, a handful of folks around the state still got a piece of the Powerball pie, winning $50,000 each.

The six tickets were sold at the following locations:

The Minnesota Lottery says winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize, which can be done at the lottery's Roseville headquarters, by mail or at any other regional office.

The names and cities of players who take home $10,000 or more are kept private, per Minnesota statute, unless the player decides to go public.

Wednesday's drawing will take place at 9:59 p.m. for — wait for it — approximately $1.3 billion.
