SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Police arrested a suspect wanted in the stabbings of two people in north Springfield.

Officers responded to the 700 block of North Jonathan around 10:30 a.m. That is near West Bypass and Chestnut.

Investigators say two victims suffered stab wounds. Medical personnel say one victim’s injuries are critical. The other is in stable condition. Police the suspect and two victims knew each other.

Police set up a perimeter and found the suspect a short time after the incident.

Police believe it started as a domestic violence situation.
