PHOENIX — A West Valley man is recovering after he was shot while sitting in a car with a woman he met online, authorities announced Tuesday.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Maricopa Road and Sunset Point Boulevard, according to the Buckeye Police Department.
The alleged shooter, a man whose identity was not released, has been arrested.

The man who was shot told police he was sitting in his SUV with the woman when another man began shooting at them, police said.
The woman was able to get out of the car safely, while the victim was able to drive away and call 911.
