Eastern Greene is looking for new baseball and softball coaches after CJ Shelton recently resigned and Tommy Bell announced his retirement, and then a temporary new job back at the college level.

Bell, 70, who had previously worked in athletic administration at Southern Illinois University, Purdue-Fort Wayne, Western Illinois and Northern Illinois is back at the college level until December after being appointed the Interim Director of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation at Kenyon College in Ohio.

Bell was Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at SIU from 2015 to 2018. Though “semi-retired,” Bell took over the Eastern softball program in 2021 coming out of the COVID break. He was selected by Kenyon through The Registry, a membership organization that places veteran higher education executi
