SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - Somerset Mayor Alan Keck announced on Tuesday he will not seek a third term.

Keck made the announcement during his seventh State of the City Address at the Somerset-Pulaski Co. Chamber of Commerce Luncheon.

“Serving as the mayor of my hometown has been an unbelievable honor, privilege, and joy. From revitalizing downtown and attracting new investment to watching this community come together in moments of celebration and resilience, these last six-plus years have been the most rewarding of my life,” Keck said in a statement.
