SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- New York State Police arrested a minibike rider on charges including reckless driving and disorderly conduct.
About 100 riders on motorcycles, minibikes and ATVs, according to a police report, performed burnout stunts and blocked people from entering or leaving the Citgo gas station on Erie Boulevard West on August 23.
Police said they received several reports of similar groups creating disturbances. Due to the State Fair being nearby, troopers were deployed to prevent the bikers from entering the Fairgrounds. When officers tried to stop a group from riding to the Fair, 25-year-old minibike rider Oscar Blair of Syracuse collided with another biker, who then hit a car stopped at the intersection.
