The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) have charged a 42-year-old man with first degree murder following a death that took place in central Edmonton over the weekend.
On August 30th at approximately 4:26 a.m., EPS Downtown Branch officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of 119 Street and Jasper Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased female inside of an SUV.
On September 1, the Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office completed the autopsy and determined that 39-year-old Priscilla McGreer passed away as a result of gunshot wounds with the manner of death being homicide.
The homicide section has since arrested and charged 42-year-old Kyle Laumen with first degree murder, aggravated assault and breach of probation.
McGreer and Lauman were known to one another.
