Fort Saskatchewan’s Summer Send-off event took place this past weekend to much fanfare, as this was the last appearance of the city’s famous sheep herd for the year.
The sheep will now be moving to their winter pastures to rest up and get ready for their lawn-mowing task next year.
Due to the intense heat over the weekend, the parade ended up being cancelled, with attendees being able to interact with the herd in the shade near the Fort Heritage Precinct.
Once the sheep were off for greener pastures, there was a short break for children to play at the playground and for attendees to explore the area, before the Fort Heritage Precinct opened up for people to explore the inside.
