SUFFOLK, Va. — Competitive eating fans, get ready! Downtown Suffolk is bringing in international food challenger Joel Hansen for the Taste of Suffolk Downtown Street Festival on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Hansen, known around the world for taking on massive food challenges, will go head-to-head with The Baronator, Baron’s Pub’s famous six-pound burger that has defeated even the hungriest eaters. The burger battle kicks off at 12:30 p.m. at Main and Market.

The Taste of Suffolk festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and has plenty more than just giant burgers, including local food specials, live music, vendors, and activities for kids.
