FRANKLIN, Va. — Candice Crow is the first one to admit that she is a "frequent flier" at Southampton Medical Center.
"When you have seven people in a home, someone's bound to get hurt or sick," Crow laughed.
Crow, an Isle of Wight County mom who moved from the more metropolitan parts of Hampton Roads three years ago, regularly uses the Bon Secours facility in Franklin for the bulk of her family's health care needs, to the point where she knows the staff there.
Except now, the future of the hospital itself is in question, and Crow is left wondering whether she'll need to find another way to access that level of medical care.
“I can get good quality care in a timely manner here, I can be in and out of there in the same amount of time as driving somewhere else," Crow said.
