American consumers looking to cut costs and save calories are turning to an unlikely place to dine out — McDonald’s restaurants.
Almost half of U.S. adults recently surveyed by Lightspeed Commerce, say they’re ordering from the restaurant’s kid menus. They say it’s a great way to save money, eat out and keep portion size in check, new research shows.
About 44% of adults surveyed by Lightspeed Commerce said they’re choosing kids’ meals as they are traditionally less expensive than those on adult menus and portion sizes are usually smaller.
