CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Cincinnati city council member is proposing a multi-million-dollar plan to address city safety concerns in the wake of July’s violent downtown brawl.

Council member Jeff Cramerding spoke Tuesday about his ideas for a $4-5 million plan to address safety concerns.

He said there are a lot of people who have always felt safe downtown and a lot who never have, and likely will not change their mind.

Cramerding said this new plan is to encourage people who fall in the middle to feel safe and visit downtown.

“There are businesses that are affected that rely on people commuters and outside of the city to make their business work, and I think they’re really feeling it, and we’re hearing from them,” Cramerding explained.

His proposal is a $4-5 million allocation to increase
