The Park City Police Department on Monday received an unusual report involving wildlife, one of several sightings of animals recently.

The case on Monday at 5:15 p.m. involved a deer, described as “giant,” on Little Kate Road, apparently in the area of a bus stop. The deer had rope “around” its ankles, the police were told.

The person who contacted the police told the department the animal was “wandering around okay.”

Public police logs did not provide details about the rope.

The police regularly receive reports of wildlife sightings, but it is uncommon for an animal to be in a situation like the one on Monday.

Little Kate Road is a heavily developed street in Park Meadows.
