More road construction has begun in Sarnia.
GIP Paving Inc. recently started removing curbs on stretches of Confederation Street and Indian Road, for a $1.2-million resurfacing project that also includes curb, catch basin and maintenance hole repairs, said Matt Deline, Lambton County’s public works manager.

The work, including lane closings between Sutton Street and Murphy Road on Confederation, and between Campbell Street and Kathleen Avenue on Indian, is expected to continue until late October, weather permitting, he said.
Through traffic is permitted, businesses will remain open, and some work will be done overnight to help reduce disruptions, he said, noting a city noise bylaw exemption was obtained for nighttime work on the county roads.
