President Donald Trump announced Huntsville, Alabama, as the new headquarters for U.S. Space Command on Tuesday.
This isn't the first time Alabama thought it was becoming the headquarters of Space Command after a federal government announcement.
The location of Space Command is one of several decisions that have swung back and forth between former President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump.
In 2021, Alabama's Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville was selected as the preferred location by the secretary of the Air Force under the first Trump administration.
