Portland, Oregon-based rockers Everclear debuted in 1993 with their independently released World of Noise. Three decades later, they would celebrate that record’s anniversary with a tour mixing nostalgia and newer material. But Everclear’s breakthrough to the big time (with three Platinum-or-better albums in a row) came with 1995’s major-label debut Sparkle and Fade. That record included “Santa Monica,” one of four charting singles from the record. As the 30th anniversary of that record rolls around, the band fronted by singer, guitar, and founding member Art Alexakis takes a well-deserved victory lap. Fellow alt-rock sensations Local H and Sponge are also on the bill.
