LITTLE COTTONWOOD, Utah (ABC4) — The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office has identified the victims in the Little Cottonwood Canyon plane crash on Sunday that killed one person and left another in critical condition.

Christopher Marx, 55, was killed in the crash and was found dead when first responders arrived on scene. Alex Dulude, 40, was airlifted to the University of Utah hospital following the crash, and he is still in critical condition.

The small plane carrying the two occupants crashed on August 31 at around 5:31 p.m. in the Albion Basin area of Little Cottonwood Canyon, which is located near Alta.

Hikers and others recreating in the area witnessed the crash, and they were the first to respond on scene.
