NEW HAVEN, CT. (WFSB) - A New Haven high school student that was detained by ICE was released from custody Tuesday.
Esdras was detained while working at his job on July 21st and had been in custody for 44 days. His $1,500 bond was posted in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
CT Students for a Dream said that a homecoming event will be planned in a couple of weeks.
“We’re focused on Esdrás’s wellbeing,” says Tabitha Sookdeo, Executive Director, Connecticut Students for a Dream. “Our priority is ensuring a successful transition back into high school.”
