(WHTM) - Penn State is reportedly looking to switch up its apparel providers, moving from Nike to Adidas.

According to On3’s Brett McMurphy, the move away from Nike is pending approval from the Penn State Board of Trustees. An agenda for the board's upcoming September meeting appeared to have been posted and then removed from its website as of early Tuesday evening.

McMurphy notes that Penn State has partnered with Nike for over three decades, when the program joined the Big Ten in 1993.

The Nike logo has been synonymous with Penn State football ever since and has been part of the team's patented "Blue Shoes Basic Blues" uniforms, as well as footballs on game day.
