NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A North Charleston man has been arrested and is facing charges of assault and kidnapping involving his ex-girlfriend.

Jake Mack, 36, is charged with first-degree assault and battery, kidnapping and malicious injury to personal property, an incident report says.

North Charleston Police responded Saturday at approximately 1 p.m. to Foresman Road for a disturbance reference.

Upon arrival, police saw the victim and the Mack standing in the intersection of Foresman Road and Atlas Street.

An investigation showed that Mack started an argument with the victim when he saw her on the street. When the victim ran to her vehicle, Mack grabbed at her arms trying to stop her from reaching it. Police say that the victim was able to get inside the vehicle, but Mack jumpe
