STEARNS — It was a strong day of cross country action Saturday at the McCreary Central Invitational, with the South Laurel girls team and the Somerset boys squad taking home top honors in team competition.

On the girls’ side, South Laurel packed its runners inside the top 15 to score 43 points and claim first place.
