Charges were filed Tuesday against a 25-year-old adult involved in the Aug. 15 attack of Scott Lindsey, a 44-year-old autistic man, as he bicycled through Hessville Park in Hammond.

Keshaun Brooks, of Hammond, arrived at the park that evening in a silver Toyota Prius, according to an extensive police investigation, which included reviewing social media content and retrieving high-quality surveillance footage from cameras located within the park system.

“Investigators were able to clearly establish the sequence of events,” states a press release from the Hammond police department.
