SUMTER, S.C. — Two people are in custody after a shooting left a man injured Monday night near businesses on Broad Street, according to the Sumter Police Department.
Investigators say the shooting happened in the 1300 block of Broad Street, behind several businesses, following an argument outside of a parked vehicle. The victim, a 28-year-old man, was flown to a Columbia-area hospital, police say he where he remains in stable condition.
Authorities identified the suspects as 25-year-old Blake B. Drown and 26-year-old Summer Danielle Holliday, both of Tryon Street. Police say the two fled the area after the incident but were later located in the Mooneyham Road area and taken into custody with the help of the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
