BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- One person was left with major injuries and another is in custody after a stabbing in east Bakersfield Tuesday afternoon.

Police were dispatched to the area of Houser and South Brown streets for a report of a stabbing around 1:30 p.m.

Police told 17 News one person sustained major injuries and another was in custody.

Information on the suspect was not given.
