Urban planning involves all sorts of acronyms for plans and designations.
Wednesday, Sept. 3, the Chandler Planning and Zoning Commission is set to discuss and possibly recommend for approval a plan with an acronym — which encompass several other acronym plans.
The commission, in a 5 p.m. study session in Chandler City Council chambers at City Hall, 88 E. Chicago Street downtown, is set to discuss recommending approval of a Downtown Region Area Plan update to council.
At their 5:30 p.m. regular meeting, a vote on that recommendation is the only main action item.
The downtown plan, known in city documents as DRAP, will incorporate the Redevelopment Area Plan, the South Arizona Avenue Entry Corridor Study, and the South Arizona Avenue Design Guidelines.
