MISSOULA — Missoula Sentinel's 2024 girls soccer campaign marked its first Western AA title in 14 years.
In the Spartans' first crosstown match of the season and second contest overall thid year, the squad appears primed for sustained success.
"We know we have the team to be able to do it," Sentinel coach Dan Lochridge told 406 MT Sports Tuesday. "It's just a matter of putting all the pieces together and going from there."
Fighting through sweltering conditions at Fort Missoula, the Spartans scored three unanswered first-half goals on their way to a 4-1 win over Big Sky. With Sentinel's season-opening win over Kalispell Glacier in mind, the team has tallied seven goals in two games.
