AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Faith City Mission marked one year since the opening of its women's overnight dorm, a facility that has provided emergency shelter for hundreds of women in crisis throughout Amarillo.

Since opening in 2024, the dorm has served as a safe, overnight safe spot for women and mothers experiencing homelessness or escaping domestic violence. According to Faith City Mission, the dorms fill a gap for individuals who don't require a long-term recovery program but urgently need a place to sleep.
