Despite Garrett Crochet giving up seven runs and four home runs in his worst start of the season, the Red Sox offense took control late and beat the Guardians 11-7 on Tuesday night. Ceddanne Rafaela homered in the sixth inning to score two and tie the game.

The offense pulled ahead in the eighth inning, all with two outs on the board, off the bats of Alex Bregman, Jarren Duran, and Trevor Story. Bregman went into an all-out sprint to make it ahead of the catch at first to score Rafaela and pull the Sox ahead 8-7. Duran would double to extend the lead to 9-7, and Story pulled the Sox away further by scoring two.

The Red Sox are a season-high sixteen games over .500 as they look to sweep the Guardians and push them completely out of the playoff picture on Wednesday.
