MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Madison County Sheriff's Office has announced the dates for the Fall session of its 2025 Citizens Sheriff's Academy.
MCSO has announced it will hold the academy beginning on Oct. 7 and conclude it with the graduation ceremony on Nov. 18.
The course includes over 20 hours of instruction with classes meeting on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each week for seven weeks.
The sheriff's office said the course will go over the following topics: • Patrol Division Overview • Community Policing Initiatives • Crisis Management and Response • Forensic Science and Technology • Tactical Response Unit (SWAT) • Corrections • Laws and the Alabama Court System • Sheriff’s Office Organization and Staffing • Criminal Investigations Unit and Crime Scene Uni
