INDIANAPOLIS — Three people were injured in a shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

The shooting happened shortly after 10 p.m. in the 3300 block of North Denny Street, near North Sherman Drive and East 34th Street. Officers responding to a report of a person shot found an adult male who had apparently been shot.

Two other men who had been shot were found a short time later. Police said all three men are in critical condition.

An IMPD spokesperson said there are several shell casings over a wide area on North Denny Street. Investigators say the casings were both pistol and rifle rounds.

Several witnesses have been detained for questioning, police said.
