MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Teen fentanyl prevention is in the spotlight after two Semmes men were indicted in separate manslaughter cases tied to deadly overdoses.
Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood announced on Facebook that Kaleb Harden and Braden Hollie were indicted by a grand jury.
Harden is charged with the death of a 17-year-old, and Hollie is charged with the death of 18-year-old Jayce Ward.
For many families, the fear of fentanyl is real, as one wrong pill in the hands of their child could be the last.
Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch said fentanyl has changed the drug landscape.
“Overdoses historically have always been heroin. You know, some pills," Sheriff Burch said. "But, you know, fentanyl is really like playing Russian roulette with your life.”
