YANKTON COUNTY, S.D. (KCAU) — Budget cuts are affecting everyone everywhere. However, for a 4-H program in Yankton County, this may impact the program greatly.

On August 19, commissioners voted to cut the program because of the resignation of the 4-H coordinator. This would have led to the 4-H program losing its official status.

At the County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday night in Yankton, locals in 4-H and supporters rallied together to prevent the program from being cut altogether.

During the meeting, locals had a chance to tell the board about their concerns in which led the commissioners to resend their program cut.
