ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

The New Mexico State Fair kicks off this Thursday at EXPO New Mexico.

Dan Morning, the fair's general manager, said there are lots of new things this year, including food.

"You don't get fair food anywhere else but the New Mexico State Fair," said Morning. "Everything goes better with bacon. This guy has an amazing array of different types of foods, sweet, savory, but with bacon. We got the Dubai chocolate. We all know it's the rage, but we have a booth that's coming out here. That's not just a white chocolate, it's a cream, and it's going over a funnel cake."

Another booth will have bologna with fresh green Chile and other items to go with it.
