With the arrival of Labor Day, more than 800 new laws resulting from the Texas Legislature session took effect.

And with anything, one can find the good, the bad and the ugly in this year’s slate. But also as with anything, the opinion is in the eye of the beholder.

Legislators are known to introduce laws to address problems of great public concern, or in other cases, to address the bad actors — those who can’t seem to follow the rules of society.

And this year, as Texans are witnessing, there is no shortage of issues brought forward.
