LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — These days there are more than 70 high schools in the Clark County School District.
There was once a time when there was only one. But on this day in history, it held its first classes.

It would remain the valley’s only high school until 1942.
The main buildings art deco style makes it historically significant. In fact, the entire original campus is now list on the national registry of historic places.
