TARZANA, Calif. (KABC) -- Two suspects were apprehended and four catalytic converters were recovered after a theft in Tarzana led to a high-speed chase, authorities said.

Sirens blared through the valley overnight as police chased the two suspected catalytic converter thieves.

Los Angeles police said they first spotted the suspects while they were committing the crime in Tarzana. The suspects fled, and that's when the chase began.

Eventually, California Highway Patrol took over the chase, which came to an end on Sepulveda Boulevard and the 101 Freeway. The suspects reportedly took off running at the end of the chase.
