Firefighters were drafted in by police for an early-morning drugs bust in Nuneaton . Green watch from the town's fire station were called into action early today, September 3.
They forced their way into a house on Clifton Road. Police had suspicions that cannabis was being grown inside the residential property.
Officers had been alerted that electricity was being illegally by-passed into the property - a tell-tale sign of cannabis production.
A spokesperson for the Newtown Road-based station told CoventryLive the loft area was 'full' with cannabis plants. "We were called by police to help force entry into the property," the spokesperson said.
"Inside the loft was full with cannabis plants."
After forcing their way into the house, the fire crew left the scene in the hands of police.
