It is with great pride, and love of the Skyline Trail, that the Friends of the Ludington State Park were able to exceed their fundraising goal of $350,000 toward reconstruction of the trail, ensuring it meets modern safety and construction standards as well as preserving its legacy for generations to come.
The views along the half-mile trail protruding high along the forested ridges at Ludington State Park cannot be beat. Trail users are in awe of the sparkling blue hues of Lake Michigan, the faded tree lines in the far distance and the top of sand dunes with an occasional interdunal pond tucked between.
