VANDALIA, Ohio — PSA Airlines filed a notice with the state Tuesday that it will lay off 157 employees as it moves its headquarters from Ohio to Charlotte, North Carolina.

The airline, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines that focuses on regional flights, confirmed the layoffs with a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN).

The layoffs will take place from Oct. 29 through April 29, 2027, as the airline permanently closes its headquarters in Vandalia. The new headquarters is expected to open in January 2026.

The company announced its intent to relocate to Charlotte last January. About 350 people worked in the Vandalia headquarters and were offered the chance to move to the new location. Those who declined are part of the phased layoffs, according to the
