CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously hurt after a shooting early Wednesday morning in west Charlotte, according to Medic.

It happened on Major Street, which is just off Edgewood Road and near Freedom Drive.

Medic said one person was taken to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

It's not clear if any suspects were arrested in the connection to the case. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have not provided further information on the investigation at this time.
