Graham Gouldman acknowledges that he “didn’t know quite what to expect” when he brought his band 10cc back to North America last year for the first time in 46 years.
But he was pleased to find that “the audiences were great, the reviews were fantastic, and the fact we’ve been invited back again a year later tells you something about how well it went.”
During a 22-year recording run that began in 1973, 10cc released 11 studio albums, but was much more popular in its homeland of Britain and Europe than on these shores, where’s it’s best known for a couple of Top 5 hits — “I’m Not in Love” in 1975 and “The Things We Do For Love” a year later. The band has nevertheless retained a consensus of critical acclaim, while original members Kevin Godley and Lol Creme went on to become vanguard music
