BARTONVILLE, Ill. (25 News) – An increased police presence will be seen at Limestone Community High School in Bartonville after police and school administrators said they investigated an “extremely vague” online report.
Limestone School Superintendent Keith Brown said late Tuesday night that rumors spread after a student made an anonymous report on the Safe2HelpIL platform that was “extremely vague” and included no names or any direct threat.
Rumors spread through the community, but officials determined there was no credible threat to school safety.
Still, police are planning to provide extra protection, according to a statement on the Bartonville Police Department’s Facebook page .
