Strafford holds first town hall meeting to discuss wastewater treatment plant project

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Strafford may build its own wastewater treatment plant. But many people living near the proposed site are strongly against the project.

The discussion between the city and the people against the project has gone on for quite some time. The Strafford Board of Aldermen previously heard from concerned neighbors, wastewater experts, and local state representatives about the negative impacts of the proposed project. However, Monday night was the first town hall meeting about the proposed project. City officials tell KY3 that they are trying to create some transparency in their process.
