It has been a busy four months for new managing director Robbie Evans. Like sporting chief Adam Underwood, Evans is not a new face to the club but this was his maiden summer in his current role.

Sources have told Leeds Live that the board is satisfied with the work it has done. The aim was for six new core players to arrive and that figure has been exceeded.

With 10 players in and £100m spent, it feels it has backed manager Daniel Farke, who was jointly involved in the recruitment process - every key member had to sign off on a deal before it was executed.

However, there was clear frustration on deadline day in regards to Harry Wilson. Leeds sources say that a deal was put into place before Fulham called it off at the last minute.
