BURLINGTON, N.C. — A child is in the hospital after being hit by a car on Tuesday, Sept. 2, according to the Burlington Police Department (BPD).

The child was hit near the intersection of South Graham Hopedale Road and Martin Street, police said.

BPD said the child was taken to a local trauma center and is in stable condition.
