STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police are searching for three males who fled in a dark-colored sedan following a shooting Tuesday evening in West Brighton.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the right leg at about 7:36 p.m. outdoors in the 100 block of Dongan Street. Police had responded to a 911 call of an assault at the location, according to a spokesman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

EMS rushed the man in stable condition to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton, according to police.

One of the individuals sought for questioning was wearing grey sweatpants and a black sweatshirt. A second male was wearing black pants and a grey sweatshirt. The third individual was wearing dark shorts and a grey sweatshirt.
