A provincial police services board may seem like an unlikely place to find a hero.
But Chatham-Kent and communities across Ontario now have a stronger voice in policing and can be assured the rules have changed to allow for police officers accused of serious crimes to be suspended without pay, thanks to efforts involving Pat Weaver.

The Thamesville man recently stepped down after nearly five years as president of the Ontario Association of Police Service Boards, an umbrella group for the bodies that oversee police forces in the province.
