DENVER (KDVR) — Police are looking for more suspects on the run after arresting a juvenile in an attempted armed carjacking in Thornton.

Just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday, the Thornton Police Department said it was investigating an attempted armed carjacking near 104th Avenue and Riverdale Road. This is down the road from Haunted Field of Screams, a corn maze in Thornton.

Police said one juvenile boy was in custody, but officers were still looking for more suspects who fled northeast on foot. FOX31's Jim Hooley was on the scene, where a heavy police presence had cleared before 6 a.m.

Police are asking residents in the area to remain aware and call 9-1-1 if they see anything suspicious.

This is a developing story. This post will be updated when more information becomes available.
